Panther Analyzer extends the power of Spectral Dynamics' next-generation Panther platform with...
Real-time digital resampling in Panther allows you to change the sampling rate of your data on the fly, without needing to re-acquire it.
Here's how it's useful during vibration testing:
• Optimizing Data Storage: You might acquire data at a very high sample rate to capture all the necessary high-frequency details. However, for long-duration tests, this can generate massive files. Resampling allows you to reduce the sample rate in real-time after the initial high-rate acquisition, significantly decreasing file size for storage while still retaining the critical high-frequency information if needed for specific analysis.
• Matching Data Rates: Sometimes, you might need to compare data from different sources that have different sample rates. Resampling allows you to bring them to a common rate for easier comparison and analysis. Improving Computational Efficiency: Certain analysis tasks might be computationally intensive. By resampling data to a lower rate (where appropriate), you can speed up these calculations without a significant loss of accuracy for your specific analysis goals.
